How to Maintain Your Nissan EV

Nissan EV Maintenance Services at Your Local Nissan Dealer
Certain inspections and services should be performed on your Nissan electric vehicle about every six to 12 months or when it has driven a specific number of miles, whichever comes first. Some services should be performed if your vehicle has experienced more severe usage than normal.
Every Six Months or 7,500 Miles
For every six months or 7,500 miles you drive, standard maintenance should include the following inspections:
- Horn, lights, signals, wipers, liftgate/hood lift supports
- Battery terminals and cables, battery test
- Tire pressure, tread, wear, and depth
- Suspension components (shocks, subframe, tie rods)
- Charging port
- Charging port rubber cap
You must have your tires rotated at this time, as well. Severe usage maintenance inspections include:

Starting at 22,500 miles or 18 months, the Intelligent Key battery should be inspected every 12 months.
Standard maintenance should include all of the services from the six-month schedule, plus the following inspections:
- Brake lines and cables
- Brake pads and rotors
- Cooling system
- Drive shaft boots
- Traction motor oil (for leaks)
- Gearbox oil
- Rear final drive oil (AWD models)
