The 2025 Nissan LEAF has a reputation for being an incredibly agile and fun-to-drive, fully electric car with a competitive driving range. Learn about the key innovations of this iconic EV model before visiting your Nissan dealer.

Cutting-Edge EV Technology Designed to Elevate Your Drive

1. Smartphone Integration2025 Nissan LEAF | Vancouver, WA

Integrating your smartphone apps on your central touchscreen puts all of your favorite messaging, media, navigation, and news apps all in one place on the swipeable eight-inch NissanConnect touchscreen. In particular, syncing up with Apple CarPlay lets you access your contacts to send text messages or speak with Siri to have voice control over various in-cabin features. Plus, Apple Music and Apple Maps are just a tap away.

On the SV PLUS trim, drivers can also use a compatible smartphone for remote vehicle controls via the NissanConnect EV with Services app. This app enables remote climate control, door access, emergency SOS, and much more. Drivers can use voice commands to set destinations. Since the NissanConnect EV app is powered by SiriusXM, drivers also have the benefit of a three-month SiriusXM Travel Link and Traffic trial.

2. ProPILOT Assist

The SV PLUS model comes with a hands-on freeway cruise control assistant with active lane centering technology to optimize handling and efficiency on compatible highways. The ProPILOT Assist 1.0 system only engages the cruise control function when hands are detected on the steering wheel. If hands are removed from the steering wheel when this system is active, the vehicle will remind the driver to hold the wheel.

3. Nissan Intelligent Key

Speedy vehicle access is a breeze with the Nissan Intelligent Key, an innovative proximity-sensing key fob system. This feature enables front door unlocking by simply approaching the vehicle or touching a discrete spot on the front door handle. The Nissan Intelligent Key also enables push-button start so you don’t have to insert a physical key into the ignition.

4. Intelligent Trace Control

The LEAF has a standard brake-actuated limited-slip differential to refine vehicle handling on icy or rainy roads. The Intelligent Trace Control system uses the anti-lock braking system and a series of wheel sensors to detect excess wheel spin. When a loss of traction is identified, the anti-lock brakes will pulse to increase road traction and keep your vehicle on your intended path.

This system is supported by the all-speed traction control system, which uses the brake and electronic motor to reduce energy distribution to the driving wheels when a loss of road traction is detected. Electronic stability control rounds out the intelligent handling systems for this EV.

From engineering to infotainment, the Nissan LEAF is a well-rounded, fully electric sedan for daily drivers and small families. Test out the performance of this efficient model at Alan Webb Nissan in Vancouver, WA.
