Power and Performance

The Pathfinder gives you up to 284 horsepower with a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds. The Armada provides up to 425 hp and pushes your towing limit to 8,500 pounds. The off-road-ready Pathfinder comes with standard four-wheel drive while the Armada features standard rear-wheel and available all-wheel drive. Both models offer 18-inch and 20-inch wheel designs, and the Armada adds available 22-inch wheels.

You’ll get about 23 combined city and highway miles per gallon in the midsize and 28 combined mpg in the larger SUV. Both models have a dedicated trail-riding trim. The Pathfinder Rock Creek adds an Intelligent Around-View Monitor with an off-road mode and a black tubular roof rack. The Armada PRO-4X takes it to the next level with all-terrain tires, metal underbody skid plates, an electronic locking rear differential, and adaptive air suspension.

Interior Design and Space

The Pathfinder comes with standard cloth upholstery, and you can upgrade to leatherette or semi-aniline leather. The Armada is appointed with leatherette seating in the base model and quilted leather in the higher trims. The Pathfinder has heated front seats in the base model while the Armada adds this feature on higher trims. Both SUVs include ventilated front seats and heated rear seats in the top-tier model.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Pathfinder features an 8-inch or 9-inch infotainment display while the Armada shows off a 12.3-inch or 14.3-inch display. Both have standard wireless Apple CarPlay and the Armada adds built-in Google apps in higher trims. The larger model gives you up to eight USB ports and you’ll have a max of six in the Pathfinder.

Each SUV comes with a six-speaker audio system with satellite radio, with the addition of HD radio in the Armada. You can upgrade to a 13-speaker Bose system in the Pathfinder and a 12-speaker Klipsch system in the Armada.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The Safety Shield 360 suite of driver assistance tech is included across the lineups of both SUVs. You’ll have automatic high beams, intelligent lane intervention, ProPILOT Assist, intelligent blind-spot intervention, intelligent cruise control with stop-and-go, and many more safety features. The Armada adds standard traffic sign recognition, which you’ll find in higher trims of the Pathfinder.
